The jersey also honors Ramón Mifflin, featuring his number 15 on the sleeve. Mifflin, a Peruvian midfielder, played for the New York Cosmos from 1975 to 1977, making 42 NASL appearances and scoring 7 goals. A teammate of Pelé, he was part of the 1977 Soccer Bowl-winning squad, earned All-NASL First Team honors in 1976, and made 38 appearances that season alone.
